Stacey Simmons is one of Pinellas County's most respected coaches. Born and raised in Clearwater, FL., Simmons began his legacy as one of the state's premier student-athletes. Stacey completed his high school career at Dunedin High School as an All-County baseball player and All-American in football and track and field. His talent and relentless work ethic earned him a full football and track scholarship to the University of Florida.
As a Gator, Simmons was a 7 time All S.E.C. performer and 3 time NCAA All-American, breaking three UF Track and Field records. As a result of his success at the collegiate level, Simmons had the opportunity to compete internationally and was a member of the USA track team.
In 1990, Simmons graduated with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Sciences, and was selected the 83rd player in the NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts. After two seasons with the Colts, Simmons spent 8 more seasons in professional football, winning 2 world championships with the Tampa Bay Storm.
Simmons continues to utilize his experiences as an athlete, motivator and coach to sharpen athlete's abilities. He has helped many athletes reach the pinnacle of their sport. Former and current athletes include football, basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball and track and field. Simmons has also helped numerous athletes improve mechanics, technique and agility to improve performance that has led to college scholarships and professional contracts for many athletes.
Through our unique training program, we utilize Olympic and power lifting, as well as extensive core training to strengthen our athletes from the inside out.
For the past 20 years Shawn has been the head athletic trainer at Pinellas Park High School. Over her career, Shawn has worked as an athletic trainer at the University of Alabama and the University of Arkansas. During her time in the SEC, Shawn worked with numerous teams aiding in the rehabilitation and development of many athletes. Some of the highlights of her career in sports medicine include working the 2000 Track & Field Olympic Trails and 2006-2008 Iron Man 70.3 World Championships. A career in sports medicine has allowed Shawn to travel across the globe, including multiple trips with teams to Europe. In addition to helping athletes stay healthy and return from injuries, Shawn has found a niche in helping student-athletes navigate their way through the college recruiting process.
